motivation

Be optimistic about what's happening around you and in your life. Though things may not go your way, Try to see them from other perspectives instead of just your own. Don't be selfish, think of what the problem is, is there a solution to the problem and act out to fix the problem. If the problem is of your hands and control then let it go. You can't have everything. The problem will only slow you down and lessen your progress.

Daily motivation

When it all comes down to it, you can only blame the one you see in the mirror. We can't control others actions, but we can certainty control our own. To better ourselves daily to become who we want to see in that mirror. If the mirror is broken, repair it. If the mirror is foggy polish it. Clean it. For it is you.

Have a cold?

Well guys and girls it's getting to that time of the year where colds and other viruses, are invading our bodies. I've recently have had a cold and have been looking for natural remedies without using over the counter medicine to get rid of the virus.  First things first if you are congested and have a sore throat you should make tea using lemon, ginger, Cayenne and honey. These will help bring the junk out of your chest, throat and nasal cavity. At least it did for me. Also be sure to get plenty of rest as well as vitamin C. Sleep is how your body fights off colds and viruses and lack of sleep is probably how you got it in the first place.
If your looking for something new to fight of a cold this is certainly something to try.

the basics of L-Arginine

is an important amino acid for releasing nitric oxide into the bloodstream, improve the health of the circulatory system and heart, release growth hormone, promote relaxation, and keep blood pressure normal.  L-Arginne is in almost all of your pre-workout drinks, which is what gives you the "pump" you feel during or after your workout. I typically buy the amino-acid seperate from the pre-workouts because it's way cheaper and you usually don't know what else is in the pre-workout drinks.

know your body

Guys that haven't trained natural for long enough usually are not in tune with there bodies enough to get the full effect of cycles (supplements). These are usually the guys that say, I am not sure if its working, or confuse muscle soreness for pain or injury. If you have been training for years natural you basically know your recovery time and you can tell changes in your body that happen like bloat, recovery and intensity that occur just from a bad meal. Being in tune with your body on a natural level will let you get so much more out of using any drug or even dietary supplements.

After having a bad weekend of to much food and drink and too little sleep I can notice my training suffer for days while my body recovers. On the same note I know exactly what to do when trying to recover after said mistake. That took years of fiddling with my body, what I eat and how I train. When people ask you how you look like that and what did you do, you simply say good diet, work out, get sleep rinse and repeat for 6-10 years. That usually throws them off.

triple drop sets

I feel triple drop sets are one of the most effective techniques to take your workouts to the next level.

Triple drop sets coupled with partner assisted reps will provide maximum overload to the specific muscle group you are working on. If you have not read my previous articles pertaining to bodybuilding workouts, a triple drop set is when you warm up to your maximum poundage, (a weight you can perform for 6-8 reps) which you will do for a given number of reps, followed by a few partner assisted reps.
Immediately after this set you will drop the weight so that you will be able to continue the set for another 4-6 reps, followed by partner assisted reps. The weight is further reduced for your last set of 8-10 reps, followed by additional partner assisted reps. Employing this technique on a few exercises in your workout will increase the intensity of your workout drastically. It's easier said then done so get to it. You will feel a better pump and bigger burn.

L-caritine amino acids (now you know)

L-Carnitine is known to help transport fat into the mitochondria of cells, which can aid in your body’s ability to use energy more efficiently and more rapidly. Recent studies have also shown that L-Carnitine may increase androgen receptors in your muscles where testosterone latches on to in order to facilitate muscle growth and fat burning. The best times to take L-Carnitine are in the morning and right before you workout. Use natural amino acids to burn fat. Don't waste your money on other name brand substances that are way over priced.

Do you do your cardio before or after your workout? Studies have shown that doing cardio after your workout will promote more human growth hormone and allow you to build more muscle than doing it before your workout. Not to mention you get a better lift since you have more energy and aren't as tired. DUH right? well people tend to do their workout earlier. Though it's good to get a nice run in early before your day starts. It is more beneficial to your body to get it done later after you do your workout.

Doing (HIT) high intensity training your body also will see much better results such as more fat burning, more calories being burned, and more muscle mass being created. If you do long distance jogs you will not burn as much because your body will get used to the training and develop a tolerance overtime so it will take longer to burn fat and calories. Do what works best for you and what you feel, but personally I have seen much better results from sticking to these simple rules, but everybody s body is different.
